Apple Cake
This apple cake recipe is a recipe that belonged to my Baba. Baba is Ukrainian for Grandmother. My Baba came to this country at 14 years old in 1905. I am honored to have this recipe and I am happy to pass it along to you. I am sharing this recipe exactly how it was given to me.
Easy moist and delicious apple cake
Ingredients
4 cups sliced thin apples-Mcintosh
2 cups sugar
3/4 cups oil
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions
Grease and flour the bottom of a lasagna size Pyrex dish – or 2 smaller ones
Apply wax paper or parchment paper- do not grease again
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl
Pour into prepared pan
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes for large pan. About 35 for 2 smaller pans. Til toothpick comes out clean
Take out of oven and invert on cookie sheet immediately
Remove wax paper
Let cool
Flip onto serving tray or back into a clean pan

can I use a regular metal lasagna pan or will it ruin the taste??
