Streusel Topped Apple Pie

Ingredients
Pie
  • 1 box refrigerated pie crusts softened as directed on box
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 8 McIntosh Apples peeled and sliced thinly
Streusel
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup quick - 1 minute oats
  • 1/2 cup butter cut into small pieces
Instructions
Pie
  1. Remove pie crusts from pouches, unroll and stack crusts on top of each other

  2. Roll into 12x14 inch rectangle

  3. Fit crust into ungreased pan 10x12x1 -inch rectangle pan, pressing into corners

  4. Fold extra crust under and flute

  5. In a large bowl, mix 3 tablespoons flour, 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon

  6. Stir in apples and coat with mixture

  7. Spoon apple mixture into crust

Streusel
  1. In medium bowl, mix streusel ingredients, cutting in butter with a pastry blender until crumbly

  2. Sprinkle over apples

  3. Bake 30 minutes until crust is golden brown

  4. Cool on cooling rack for 45 minutes

Recipe Notes

Top with a scoop of ice cream.
